Privacy Policy
Effective date: 29 May 2026 · Last updated: 19 June 2026
1. Introduction
Futrak is a mobile application for live football match tracking, published by Blak Labs Pte. Ltd. ("Blak Labs", "we", "us", or "our").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you use the Futrak application or visit futrak.blaklabs.com.
By downloading or using the app, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Futrak.
2. Organisation Responsible for Your Personal Data
The organisation responsible for the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of your personal data is:
Blak Labs Pte. Ltd.
114 Lavender Street, #06-76, CT Hub 2
Singapore 338729
Company Registration No. 201023772C
Email: privacy@blaklabs.com
For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, Blak Labs Pte. Ltd. acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise stated.
3. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
3.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Futrak has no backend server or user account system. You do not register, log in, or create a profile. All match data, team names, settings, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device using the operating system's local storage (SharedPreferences on Android and iOS).
This includes match records (team names, scores, duration, possession, and match events), your language preference, onboarding state, and your subscription tier status (Free, Basic, or Pro). None of this data is transmitted to Blak Labs servers.
If you delete the app or clear app data, this information is permanently removed from your device. We cannot recover it, as we do not hold a copy.
3.2 Match and Team Data
During live match tracking, you enter team names and the app records structured match events including match type, date, duration, scores, possession time, and other in-app events such as tackles and set pieces. Each event is timestamped relative to match time.
This data is used to provide live tracking, match history, in-app statistics, and post-match PDF export. It is stored only on your device and is not shared with us or any third party.
3.3 Analytics Data (Firebase)
We use Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) to collect anonymised usage events. These events help us understand how the app is used and improve the product. The events we track include:
- Viewing the upgrade (paywall) screen
- Completing a match
- Exporting a match to PDF
- Reaching the free-tier match limit
- Completing a Basic purchase
These events are anonymised and do not include personally identifiable information, team names, or match content. Firebase Analytics may collect device identifiers and general app activity metadata. Data is processed by Google LLC in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of analytics data collection through your device settings at any time: on iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements; on Android, go to your Google account → Data & privacy.
3.4 In-App Purchase and Entitlement Data (RevenueCat)
If you make an in-app purchase (Basic or Pro tier), we use RevenueCat, Inc. to process and validate your entitlement. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous App User ID to your device and communicates with Apple App Store or Google Play to verify your purchase receipt.
RevenueCat does not store your payment card details — payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies. Your entitlement status (which tier you have purchased) is stored locally on your device and also verified server-side by RevenueCat when the app launches.
For users who purchased the original paid version of Futrak before the app moved to a freemium model, a local flag is written to your device on first launch of the updated app to preserve your Basic access. This flag never leaves your device.
RevenueCat processes data in accordance with the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide core app functionality, including match creation, live event logging, and in-app statistics.
- To store and retrieve your match records locally on your device and enable post-match review and PDF export.
- To validate your subscription entitlement (Free, Basic, or Pro) via RevenueCat when the app launches.
- To collect anonymised usage analytics via Firebase to understand feature usage and improve the product.
- To respond to your support requests, privacy requests, and communications.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not use your personal data for third-party advertising.
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
Blak Labs Pte. Ltd. is incorporated in Singapore. Our primary legal framework is the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). We collect, use, and disclose personal data only where permitted under applicable law, including:
- Contractual necessity: Processing required to deliver the services you have purchased, including entitlement validation via RevenueCat.
- Consent: Where consent is required, or where you choose to provide optional information.
- Legitimate interests: Anonymised analytics for service improvement, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.
- Legal obligation: Where we are required to process data under applicable law.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we also recognise your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and applicable national data protection law. The legal bases described above may correspond to Articles 6(1)(b), 6(1)(a), 6(1)(f), and 6(1)(c) of the GDPR or UK GDPR respectively.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether our interests are overridden by your rights, freedoms, or reasonable expectations.
6. Children's Data
Futrak is intended for use by coaches and team administrators who are at least 18 years of age. The app is not designed to be used directly by children.
Because Futrak is used to track youth and children's football, team names or match notes entered by the coach may indirectly reference individuals under the age of 18. This data is entered solely by the coach or team administrator and is stored only on their device. Children do not interact with the app directly.
Coaches, team administrators, clubs, schools, or organisations who use Futrak to track youth matches are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate authority or consent to record team information relating to minors.
We recommend minimising any personal information entered into the app, particularly for children. Where possible, use team abbreviations or jersey numbers rather than full player names.
Futrak does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. If you have concerns about data entered relating to a child, please contact us at privacy@blaklabs.com.
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
Service Providers
We use the following third-party service providers in the operation of Futrak:
Google LLC — Firebase Analytics
Provides anonymised app usage analytics as described in Section 3.3. Data may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where Google operates. See Google's Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat, Inc.
Processes in-app purchase receipts and manages subscription entitlement verification as described in Section 3.4. Data may be processed in the United States. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store / Google Play
Handle payment processing for in-app purchases. We do not receive your payment card details. These platforms operate under their own privacy policies.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose data when required to do so by law, court order, legal process, or a lawful request from a competent authority.
We may also disclose data where necessary to protect the rights, safety, property, or security of Futrak, Blak Labs, our users, or others.
Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, financing, or transfer of all or part of our business, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. Where required by applicable law, we will provide notice before your data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
8. International Data Transfers
Blak Labs operates from Singapore. Match and settings data is stored locally on your device and is not transferred internationally by us.
Analytics data collected by Firebase and purchase data processed by RevenueCat may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where Google LLC and RevenueCat, Inc. operate. These providers implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers in accordance with applicable law.
Where data relating to EEA or UK residents is transferred outside those jurisdictions, we rely on the standard contractual clauses or other lawful mechanisms implemented by our service providers.
9. Data Retention
Because Futrak stores match and settings data locally on your device, retention of that data is entirely in your control. Specifically:
- Match data, team names, and settings are retained on your device until you delete the app or clear app data. We do not hold a server-side copy and cannot recover this data on your behalf.
- Your subscription entitlement status is retained by RevenueCat for as long as your purchase record exists. For non-consumable purchases (Basic and Pro), this is indefinite. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
- Firebase Analytics event data is retained for up to 14 months by Google, after which it is automatically deleted or anonymised in accordance with Google's data retention policies.
- Support communications sent to us by email are retained for as long as needed to resolve your request and for reasonable business record-keeping purposes.
To remove your match data and settings, uninstall the app or clear app data through your device settings. To request deletion of analytics data held by Google, visit myaccount.google.com. For purchase-related data held by RevenueCat, contact us at privacy@blaklabs.com and we will submit a deletion request on your behalf.
10. Data Security
Match data and settings are stored locally on your device using the operating system's standard storage mechanisms. We do not transmit this data to our servers, so it is not exposed to server-side security risks. The security of locally stored data is protected by your device's own security features, including screen lock and device encryption where enabled.
Analytics data transmitted to Firebase and purchase data transmitted to RevenueCat are sent over HTTPS. Both providers implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures in accordance with industry standards.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your device secure and preventing unauthorised physical access to your device and the data stored on it.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data, subject to our legal, security, and operational obligations. Note that match data stored on your device can be deleted directly by uninstalling the app.
- Data portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, where applicable.
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests, where applicable.
- Restriction: Request restriction of processing, where applicable.
- Withdrawal of consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@blaklabs.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request. We will respond within 30 days, or within the timeframe required by applicable law.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority in your jurisdiction, including the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) in Singapore, or your national data protection authority within the EEA or UK.
12. Analytics and Tracking
Futrak stores all match and settings data locally on your device. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Firebase Analytics is active in the current version of the app. It collects anonymised usage events as described in Section 3.3. No personally identifiable information, team names, or match content is included in these events. You can opt out at any time through your device settings.
RevenueCat is used for in-app purchase validation. It assigns an anonymous App User ID to your device to verify your entitlement status. This is required for the app to correctly identify your subscription tier (Free, Basic, or Pro) after reinstallation or across devices.
We do not use your data for targeted advertising or automated decision-making.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date or last updated date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by in-app notification or another reasonable method.
The updated Privacy Policy will apply to your use of Futrak from the date it is published or otherwise notified to you.
